Corona virüsü salgınına karşı çok sıkı önlemler alarak bir başarı hikayesi yaratan Hong Kong'ta Omicron varyantıyla birlikte vaka ve ölüm sayılarının artmasıyla birlikte hastanelerde doluluk rekor seviyelere ulaştı. Yetkililer bazı hastanelerde hastaları sokakta tedavi etmeye başladı.

Corona virüsü salgınının başladığı günden beri çok sıkı önlemler alarak hastalığı uzak tutmayı başaran Hong Kong’ta Omicron varyantının hızla yayılmasıyla birlikte durum endişe verici seviyelere ulaştı.

Çin’e bağlı Hong Kong’ta dün 6116 insanda Covid-19 vakası tespit edildi. Bölgede henüz 17 Covid-19 hastası yoğun bakımda tedavi altına alınırken hastaneler üzerinde yoğun bir baskı hissedilmeye başlandı.

Hastanelerde yer olmaması sebebiyle sedyede tedavi altında olan yaşlı hastalar sokaklara taşarken, acil serviste de çok büyük bir yoğunluk olduğu açıklandı.

Yetkililer şu an hastaların büyük çoğunluğunun süreci hafif geçirdiğini belirtirken buna karşılık hastanelerde büyük bir yoğunluk olduğu da kayıtlara geçti.
